The film tells the story of King Crimson, one of the most important progressive rock bands, retracing their steps and trying to trace a profile of its iconic frontman and guitarist Robert Fripp, haunted by the idea of make that musical project a philosophical collective. Thanks to the perfection of their first album, In the Court of the Crimson King, they have become a cult that has however trapped them in a continuous search for perfection, for new arrangements and sounds, which has led to continuous line-up changes.

Toby Amies is a director specializing in programs on art, music and travel, in which he places emphasis and attention on fringe culture and an alternative perspective of viewing. In the early years he collaborated with MTV and then with TRL in the creation of various programs, to then land in cinematography. In 2022 he shoots the documentary In The Court of the Crimson King: King Crimson at 50, previously titled Cosmic FuKc, about the progressive rock band King Crimson; the film is released to coincide with the group's 50th anniversary.
